Can One Really Spy on BlackBerry Smartphones?
Posted by in Uncategorized on January 19, 2010
Until the arrival of the iphone, the BlackBerry was the indisputable king of smartphones. And even today, it doesn’t trail behind the iphone by much.
It’s not difficult to see why the BlackBerry is so popular. It is as practical and convenient as a regular phone, but it does so much more. It lets you write messages, check your e-mail, surf the web, take pictures, record video, etc.
Its versatility has made it a favorite of both teenagers and business executives. In addition, companies can connect their employees’ BlackBerries to their systems, which increases their usefulness.
Because of its popularity, third-party software developers have developed several applications for the BlackBerry. Some of them have disappeared and some have thrived. The newest one to appear in the market is a clever program that allows you to spy on BlackBerry phones.
While the idea of a program that can spy on BlackBerry phones is scary to some, this software (which is sold under several names, such as SpyBubble) has a lot of promise and potential if used correctly.
One of the common misconceptions of such software is that it allows you to somehow hack into other people’s BlackBerries. This concept is completely false and most likely believed by people with a lot of imagination or that assume things easily without proper research. The software ONLY allows you to spy on BlackBerry phones that you already own.
Another common misconception is that people who spy on BlackBerry phones do so because they like to gossip and learn other people’s little secrets. In reality, people who use this kind of software have much less mischievous goals in mind.
There are mainly two kinds of people who spy on BlackBerry phones: parents who want to monitor and protect their children or teens and employers who want to see that the BlackBerries they paid for and gave to their employees are put to good use.
Parents who spy on BlackBerry phones that their kids carry around do so because they are concerned with their safety. It is not just because they want to know if junior skipped classes and went to the mall with their friends instead. For example, when a child is lost on a school trip or he or she takes much longer to arrive home than usual, the software will tell the parent the location of the BlackBerry, which is where the child usually is.
Employers who spy on BlackBerry phones that their executives use are just protecting their money. It is not cheap to provide several employees with BlackBerries, and therefore, employers want to make sure that the phones are being used for their intended purpose.
Finally, there is even a much smaller, third group of people who use this software. They are the husbands and wives that suspect that their spouse is cheating on them. Whether this practice is moral or not, it’s a matter of personal belief. However, in my opinion, it’s always better to know the truth, no matter how harsh it might be, than to live in denial.
